WOAH! Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor will be dancing to this Sonam Kapoor song in Dance Deewane (watch video)

It is a known fact that Sonam Kapoor was last seen with Salman Khan in the grand Rajshri film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The film not only went on to become a hit at the box office but the title track, picturized on Sonam Kapoor, too became quite popular. Now, it seems that the song captured the fascination of the Race 3 team during Dance Deewane and it was recreated on stage, albeit with Anil Kapoor.

Not too long ago, we had reported that the team of Race 3 will be visiting the sets of the new dance reality show Dance Deewane. The show, which features Madhuri Dixit Nene as one of its judges, will have all the actors putting up short performances for the audience. One amongst them is Anil Kapoor dancing to the title track of his daughter’s chartbuster ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.

It so happened, one of the contestants of Dance Deewane performed a robotic dance on Dance Deewane. During the same, Anil was so impressed by his performance that he decided to join the contestant on stage post his performance, for a small dance act. Whilst he shook a leg with him, he also invited Salman Khan on stage to do the same. The superstar enthusiastically obliged and joined Anil to perform on the song.

Furthermore, another couple of acts included Anil Kapoor’s performance on ‘My Name Is Lakhan’. It seems that one of the contestants of the show was a backup dancer in the same song whilst it was being shot for Ram Lakhan. Interestingly, Anil and Madhuri Dixit Nene, who was his co-star in the film, recognized the dancer and danced with him on the track too.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, who comprise as the rest of the cast of Race 3, too turned guests for this reality show. They too danced to a few of their hits during their stint on Dance Deewane.

Reliance Entertainment and Imtiaz Ali form Window Seat Films, LLP

Anil D. Ambani owned Reliance Entertainment and one of the popular Bollywood filmmakers, Imtiaz Ali, today announced the formation of Window Seat Films, LLP, a 50:50 Joint Venture for production of movies. This is Reliance Entertainment’s fifth creative partnership with Indian filmmakers to form a production company.

Imtiaz Ali has received wide appreciation and acclaim from audiences and critics alike, in addition to blockbuster success at the box office. He has won several awards over the years since the release of his first film in 2005. Starting with Socha Na Tha, Imtiaz has made several films with new comers and superstars alike. His filmography includes Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Tamasha, Highway and Jab Harry Met Sejal. Some of his films have achieved a sort of cult status with the youth in India and abroad.

This creative and business mix will benefit from the artistic abilities of Imtiaz, and the global marketing and distribution capabilities of Reliance Entertainment.

Last couple of years saw a lot of Bollywood couples breaking up including Arbaaz Khan– Malaika Arora Khan and Farhan-Adhuna Akhtar. But it is heartening to know that despite separation all these ex couples like Hrithik Roshan– Sussanne Khan continue to support each other and the kids and giving us inspiration. Arjun and Mehr too assure to do the same.

Rajkummar Rao to replace Shahid Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s next?

Two months back we had reported that the much awaited Jab We Met reunion may not be happening. Shahid Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali, who were keen on collaborating, will not be working together anytime soon. While the fans of the duo are disappointed, let us tell you that Imtiaz Ali is looking forward to take the film ahead. However, the leading man would be someone else. If recent reports are to be believed, it is none other than Rajkummar Rao.

Earlier we had mentioned that both Imtiaz Ali and Shahid Kapoor had decided to put the film on the back burner. Despite the fact that they were looking forward to work with each other after almost a decade, plans of the film going on floor never materialized. Further, it was being said that the duo decided to put the film on hold.

But now, according to speculative reports, Shahid Kapoor has decided to completely pull out of the film as he is not interested in going ahead with it. However, it has been asserted that the relation between the actor and the director remains unaffected, despite Shahid’s decision.

On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao has stepped in for Shahid’s role. There are some reports suggesting that this Imtiaz Ali film was ideally a two-hero project which already featured Rajkummar as the parallel lead.  These reports claim that Rajkummar decided to fill in the shoes of Shahid Kapoor after the latter decided to quit the project. And, now the makers are currently on a hunt to find yet another actor to essay Rao’s original role.

It is also being said that the scripting may require changes to suit Rajkummar’s personality. Speaking on Rao, his forthcoming films include Mental Hai Kya with Kangana Ranaut, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with Sonam Kapoor and Fanne Khan with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor.

As for Shahid Kapoor, his next includes Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. He is also said to have signed the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy.

Sonakshi Sinha roped in to feature in Hindi remake of Aapla Manus

Earlier this year, we saw the release of the Marathi film Aapla Manus that marked actor-producer Ajay Devgn’s foray into regional cinema. A little later it was reported that Ashutosh Gowariker had acquired the Hindi remake rights of the film and would be producing the film under his banner and that it would be once again directed by Satish Rajwade. Now we hear that Gowariker has roped in none other than Sonakshi Sinha to essay a role in the film.

Commenting on the same, a source close to the project says, “Yes Ashutosh Gowariker will be producing a Hindi remake of Aapla Manus and Sonakshi Sinha has been approached for the same. In fact just last week Gowariker held a special screening of the film for Sonakshi after the actress heard the script and approved the same as well.”

As for the film itself, Aapla Manus which was based on popular play called ‘Katkon Trikon’ released in February this year and was a major hit with the critics and at the box-office as well.

Leaner physique, buzz cut! Harshvardhan Kapoor will have to do a lot of prep for Abhinav Bindra and here are the deets!

Harshvardhan Kapoor is currently busy with the promotions of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, with the film only a week away from its release. And the actor has already started thinking about his next, the biopic on Abhinav Bindra. The makers, who were busy scripting the film until now, are now on the verge of locking it, according to recent reports. And Harshvardhan is equally excited about kick starting the venture. After all it is also his first film with papa Anil Kapoor!

For those who came in late, let us tell you that Anil Kapoor is collaborating with two of his kids on screen in the forthcoming months. He will be seen alongside daughter Sonam Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. And with his son Harshvardhan, he will share screen space in Abhinav Bindra biopic wherein he will essay the role of his onscreen father.

While it was earlier being said that the father-son Kapoor duo were taking off to Punjab for prep, it is now that Harshvardhan Kapoor has spoken about the said prep in an elaborate manner in media reports. The Mirzya actor revealed that he needs to ace the perfection game when it comes to shooting to understand Bindra. He spoke about the fervor of a sportsman by stating that it is not just about 10s but about acing it to the extent of 10.9s. He described it as digging into the mind of an obsessive athlete.

He also maintained that such people can’t have a life or relationships. They are generally isolated because they generally don’t let other people enter their space or zone. He also explained the crucial role of his father Anil Kapoor on screen since the film traces the equation of the older and younger Bindra and how their relation too goes through different phases.

On the other hand, Harshvardhan Kapoor also asserted that he needs to undergo some extensive physical change. From shedding 10 kgs to portray the role of the younger version of Abhinav Bindra to sporting buzz cut, the actor will be seen in a transformed avatar for the film. Not just that! Yet another missing element from his current off screen look will be his beard. Harsh will have to do away with his beard for his role as Abhinav.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, the Abhinav Bindra biopic [which is yet to be titled], will revolve around the life of the Olympic champion shooter. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.

BREAKING: Makers of Shotgun Shaadi approach Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh

Earlier this month we had reported that Parineeti Chopra had been roped in to feature alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the film Shotgun Shaadi. However, now we hear that Parineeti might just be replaced by the Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh in the film. If what we hear is true then apparently the reason for this change in casting is because Parineeti Chopra has been facing issues with allocating dates to shoot the project.

Commenting on the same, a source close to the development says, “While it would be great to see Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra back on screen together after Hasee Toh Phasee, it now seems unlikely given the fact that Parineeti is pretty busy. Due to Pari’s issues with allocating dates for the film, the makers have now roped in Fatima Sana Shaikh for the role.”

Interestingly, prior to Parineeti coming on board for Shotgun Shaadi rumours were rife that the Ekta Kapoor production wanted to sign Shraddha Kapoor, hence bringing together the Ek Villain team. But now with Fatima stepping into Pari’s shoes, we guess we will have to wait a bit longer for this reunion.

As for the film, though Fatima Sana Shaikh is yet to sign the dotted line, Sidharth Malhotra has already begun prep work for the film by hiring a dialect coach to learn Bihari properly. As for their roles in Shotgun Shaadi, though Fatima’s role is still under wraps, we hear that Sidharth will be seen bulking up as he plays a a thug who abducts men and forcefully gets them married.

Alia Bhatt’s sister Shaheen Bhatt to write a book on depression

Many actors have decided to come out to share the varied life experiences, whether it is good or bad, to their fans. While Deepika Padukone has spoken about his tryst with depression, Kalki Koechlin has spoken about sexual abuse. Many of the celebrities have bravely confronted the many struggles of their life and are now also uninhibited to share about it. One amongst them is also Shaheen Bhatt.

Hailing from the Bollywood Bhatt family and superstar Alia Bhatt as her sister, Shaheen Bhatt too has been in the limelight for long. She prefers to stay behind the camera and has a passion towards writing. This celebrity too, like many of her contemporaries, decided to talk about depression on social media. And now using the same experience, Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan’s elder daughter is contemplating on penning it down into a book.

Depression has become a major concern amidst today’s generation and many celebrities have been extending their support to this cause. While Deepika started her own foundation that helps depression patients, Live, Love, Laugh, now Shaheen Bhatt wants to contribute to the cause by writing a book.

Shaheen Bhatt, in a post that was shared almost two years, had confessed that she has been living in and out of depression for over a decade. The star kid not only owned up to her flaws but was also said, “I say I live with depression rather than I struggle with it because for me (and I speak only for myself here) I don’t see why it has to be a struggle.” And now she has decided to help others to deal with depression.

Proud of it, her mother and actress Soni Razdan has stated that not only is her entire family including her husband and her younger daughter Alia Bhatt are supporting Shaheen in this decision but they are also very happy about it. Soni Razdan was all praises for her daughter’s courage in media reports and also added that she is a great writer.

I’ve lived with depression on and off since I was about 13 years old. This is not a revelation or a confession. Those who know me know this about me. It’s not something I take any pains to hide, I’m not ashamed of it or particularly troubled by it. It’s just a part of who I am. I have days where I feel good and then I have days where I don’t. One minute everything’s fine and the next it’s like someone turned the light off inside my head. I go quiet and it’s difficult to get out of bed. Like it always does the world around me loses focus and I struggle to make sense of it. Sometimes these bouts last an hour – sometimes they last days. Today, I’m on day 4. I say I live with depression rather than I struggle with it because for me (and I speak only for myself here) I don’t see why it has to be a struggle. I once read an idea by an American essayist called Richard Mitchell which stayed with me; it’s now become how I try to approach the dips in my week or month. The idea is this: To be sick, or to suffer, is inevitable. But to become bitter and vindictive in sickness and suffering and to surrender to irrationality, supposing yourself the innocent and virtuous victim of the evils intentions of the world, is not inevitable. The appropriate answer to the question – Why me? is the other question – Why not me? *** Why am I writing about this? Well, I spend a fair amount of time on social media during the course of my day and today I found myself looking for something to post because it’s been a few days since I’ve posted anything. I couldn’t find anything so I figured I’d just talk about this – how I’m doing, instead of what I’m doing. It’s as simple as that, and we could all stand to do a little more of it. P.S. SHOCKING: Sushmita Sen narrates a horrific incident of being molested by a 15-year-old boy

Sushmita Sen, the woman who has changed norms, has time and again proven that she is a beauty with brains. The modern-turned-actress is poised but has been always outspoken about all kinds of issues. From being a single mother to two girls to doing philanthropic work, she has always been an inspiration to many. It is known the recent rape cases in Kathua and Unnao have brought back the tragic memories of Nirbhaya case and once again raised the questions of women safety in India. Time and again, women have felt unsafe in every phase in their lives. Narrating the same, Sushmita Sen recently opened up about being harassed by a 15-year-old recently.

At a press conference recently, Sushmita Sen was asked about the women safety in the country and how current scenario is very tragic. To this, she replied, “In small cities, they are surely unsafe because their news doesn’t reach you (media). But I am a woman, and I have been in the public eye for 25 years. So many times people think, ‘What would you know what happens to women in our country? You have bodyguards around you, all these facilities to protect you.’ Where you are eve-teased by two, we as women in the public eye, even with 10 bodyguards, are dealing with hundreds of men that have often managed to misbehave with us. And we know exactly how it happens in this country, trust me, in volumes.”

Sushmita said, “But the difference is that at this age, the last time it happened was six months ago. I was at an awards function, you were there as well. A 15-year-old… 15! And because there were so many men, he thought I wouldn’t figure out who it was. That’s why I tell you, learn something regarding self-defence, it makes you very alert. So, I grabbed his hand, and I was so shocked when I pulled him up, that he was a little boy. 15 years old. Typically for misbehaviour like that, I could’ve taken lots of other actions. But because it was a 15-year-old boy, I grabbed him by his neck, as if I was saying hello to him, I took him for a walk in front of the crowd and told him, ‘If I make a hue and cry about this, your life will be over baccha.’ (He said) ‘I didn’t do’, I told him, ‘You did it, acknowledge it.’ (He said) ‘I’m sorry.’ ‘Do you know your life would be over.’ (He said) ‘I promise it will never happen.’ ‘No, if it does, I’ve seen your face, now get out of here.’”

Sushmita further said, “That’s the difference, I recognized in a 15-year-old boy that he’s not been taught that this kind of (behaviour) is not entertainment. It’s very big mistake. It can cost you the rest of your life.”

The actress was very clear on what kind of punishment should be given to sexual predators who abuse little girls and women. “But, grown men who are in our country indulging in worse and gangrapes, they should be hanged without a doubt. There should be no understanding of mercy for it, start hanging them and you’ll understand what are the consequences, whether you are in a city or a village. This I strongly believe. And then we’ll think of mercy in a better place to live,” she added.

On the work front, Sushmita Sen’s last Hindi film was No Problem in 2010, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna and Kangana Ranaut. She, however, did a Bengali film, Nirbaak, in 2014.

Shraddha Kapoor signed opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Nitesh Tiwari's next?

Earlier this year, we had reported that Sushant Singh Rajput will be cast in the next directorial of Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari. And now, the next update on that front is that Shraddha Kapoor has been signed for the film. A few media reports have asserted that the actress is keen on doing this venture.

Just a couple of days ago, Nitesh Tiwari took to social media to make an announcement about a film. The said venture was to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala in association with Fox Star Studios. Although further details were maintained under wraps, the post stated that the cast announcements will be made soon.

On the other hand, speculative reports have been stating that the cast has been locked for the said venture. In our earlier report it was also mentioned, that the film is set against the backdrop of college and focuses on student drama. To be more specific, it revolves around the life of engineering college students and how to embrace the success-failure of lives. Incidentally, Sushant Singh Rajput has been an engineering student in the past but dropped out of the profession to pursue his dream of acting.

As for Shraddha Kapoor, the makers are yet to make the announcement since the actress is yet to sign on the dotted line. She also has a few projects that are currently in the pipeline. While she has almost wrapped up the multi-lingual, Prabhas starrer Saaho, her next would be the Saina Nehwal biopic.

Sushant Singh Rajput, as of now, has finished Abhishek Chaubey’s Son Chiriya. He has now shifted focus to the much delayed Kedarnath which is supposed to mark the debut of Sara Ali Khan.

Hence, considering the hectic schedule of the duo, it is being said that this Nitesh Tiwari directorial may only go on floor in November. The two of them are expected to allot dates in bulk since the makers are keen on having a start-to-end shoot schedule.

SHOCKING! Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma's debut Loveratri in title trouble

In what seems to be now an usual routine for Bollywood, another film has offended a sect over its title. The film in question is Loveratri. Readers may be aware that this film is supposed to be the launching vehicle of Salman Khan‘s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. Produced under the banner of Salman Khan films, this film has now become the target of Vishnu Hindu Parishad.

From Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela to now Loveratri, many Bollywood films have had to face this kind of title trouble in the past. The accusation thrown towards Loveratri is that the film’s title distorts the name of a Hindu festival. And hence it is alleged that it will hurt Hindu sentiments. The Vishnu Hindu Parishad President Alok Kumar has firmly asserted in media reports that they won’t be allowing the film to be exhibited in Indian theatres.

He went on to state that the title is not acceptable as it is inspired by the auspicious Indian festival Navratri. He further expressed his concerns that this not only affects the Hindu sentiments but also distorts the name of the festival.

For the uninitiated, Navratri is an Indian festival that signifies the victory of good over evil. While some consider this as Ram’s victory over the Rakshasa Ravana, some others celebrate the nine different avatars of Indian Goddess.

Interestingly, Loveratri too set against the backdrop of Navratri in Gujarat that has only added to the anger of VHP. As of now, the makers of the film are yet to comment on the matter. Last we heard that the film has completed its major schedule. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the film also stars debutant Warina Hussain. It is slated to release on October 5 this year which incidentally falls during the time of Navratri.

REVEALED: Irrfan Khan to play Udham Singh in Shoojit Sircar's next; film will go on floor by year end

Shoojit Sircar and Irrfan Khan came together for the unconventional film Piku, also starring Deepika Padukone. The director-actor duo is now all set to return for a screen adaptation of the life of martyr Udham Singh. Amidst many legendary heroes in our history who have contributed to the Indian Independence, Udham Singh is said to have played an integral role. Now, Shoojit confessed that he has indeed found his hero in Irrfan Khan.

However, it is also a known fact that Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumor and is undergoing treatment in Europe. But Shoojit Sircar is very positive about the current situation. He revealed that the actor is responding well to the treatment and should be soon on the road to recovery. In fact, Shoojit has confidently asserted that they should be starting the film by the end of this year. He also added that he will be visiting Irrfan and his family next month.

As far as his research for the film is concerned, Shoojit Sircar went on to confess that he wanted to make a film on Udham Singh since the time he arrived in Mumbai. Although he ended up making some versatile films in the past, this will be Shoojit’s first film on a patriotic martyr.

Speaking on how he has always idolized Udham Singh, Shoojit stated that this hero, despite his sacrifices hasn’t found his name in history. After Bhagat Singh, the work of Udham Singh was one of the major turning points in history. He mentioned that he visited Amritsar and Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab during his theatre days in 1995. That’s when he got inspired by the story of Singh who killed the then Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, Sir Michael O’Dwyer. The revolutionary did so to avenge the 1919 massacre.

On the other hand, Shoojit also confirmed that Irrfan Khan fits the bill perfectly. He believes that Irrfan has the finesse and depth that is required to play Udham Singh. Adding to it is also the fact that Irrfan is aware of the history of Punjab.

As mentioned before, Shoojit is expecting to kick off the film by the end of this year.

Banijay Asia & Salman Khan’s television production house SK TV, which was launched few years back, come together to create novel and stimulating content for TV and web. This partnership will see Banijay Asia through Deepak Dhar and SK TV providing scripted and non-scripted content across the numerous interesting genres for Indian and South East Asian markets.

Commenting on the association, Deepak Dhar, the founder and CEO of Banijay,  said, “I am really looking forward for this association as creating ground-breaking content for India and South East Asia, creating challenging content has been my forte. Salman Khan has already been producing films under his banner Salman Khan Films. His latest co-production Race 3 releases this Eid.

Exclusive: Tiger Zinda Hai to premiere in Innsbruck, Austria on June 5

“We are proud to present Tiger Zinda Hai to Innsbruck and its inhabitants. The premiere will take place at the Metropol cinema in Innsbruck on June 5,” informed Andreas Reiter, Marketing Manager of Innsbruck Tourism Board in an exclusive conversation with Faridoon Shahryar. The song ‘Dil Diya Gallan’ from Tiger Zinda Hai was entirely shot in Innsbruck in Austria and the dangerous action sequence involving the wolves and Salman Khan was also shot here.

A Tiger Zinda Hai Bollywood Tour has been introduced for the Tourists visiting this famous Tourist city in the Alps. This Tour is on the lines of the famous Sound of Music Tour that’s a special attraction in Salzburg (another important tourist attraction in Austria). “The aim of the tour is to visit all the locations where Tiger Zinda Hai was shot. Imperial Palace, Nordkette mountain, then we go to Parksmar where the Wolves scene was shot apart from the breakfast scene,” Andreas said. The house that you saw where Salman and Katrina are having their breakfast in ‘Dil Diya Gallan’ is now being called as Tiger House.

Jaya Jaitly attacks Priyanka Chopra for wearing gown at Royal Wedding, PC fans troll her back

Not too long ago, Priyanka Chopra was bombarded with questions about her presence at the much talked about Royal Wedding. Courtesy, her friendship with the bride and now Princess Meghan Markle! The actress’ appearance too was under the scanner, considering that she was probably the only Bollywood celebrity to have attended the wedding. But nevertheless, the recent fashion reviews is a testament that she didn’t disappoint them except the textile queen Jaya Jaitly.

The Indian politician and Indian handicrafts curator, Jaya Jaitly, it seems expressed her disappointment over the attire of Priyanka Chopra. According to her, the actress should have showcased patriotism during the Royal Wedding by donning an Indian saree. Amidst many celebrities who promoted western culture, she slammed Priyanka for dressing up as a British aristocrat. Readers may be aware that the actress was dressed in Vivienne Westwood for the wedding and Christian Dior gown for the reception.

She took to social media to express her discontent.

On the other hand, reports have it that Jaya Jaitly also went on to make another statement on this incident. She went on to speak about the practice where actresses wear fancy gowns by designers who pay them to do so. She also concluded it by stating that the way Priyanka Chopra has the right to wear clothes the way she wants, she (Jaya) too has the right to express her opinion. According to her, the actress should have been dressed in Kanjeevaram or Benaresi saree.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that Priyanka Chopra has been embroiled in a controversy for not wearing a saree. In the past, when she interacted with our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a private meeting, she received flak for her outfit on social media. The actress dressed up in a knee length dress for the meeting and it didn’t go down well with many netizens.

However, this time around, Priyanka’s fans and others came out in support of the actress and preferred to slam Jaya Jaitly back for her statements calling it unfair criticism. Many of them have further went on to talk about why women are often criticized for their clothes unlike men who can wear anything and get away with it.
